Dirk Lindenau is an entrepreneur and shipbuilder from North Germany. With an experienced background of more than 36 years in the shipbuilding industry he founded in 2009 the engineering and project developing company Lindenau Maritime Engineering & Projecting. A goal of this enterprise is to develop in Germany for the world Maritime environmental protection systems and to operate them globally in the framework of private public partnerships.

Dipl.-Ing. Dirk Lindenau is an entrepreneur and shipbuilder from the city of Kiel the capital of the most Northern County of Germany, Schleswig-Holstein. He studied mechanical engineering in the University of Applied Science in the capital of the land Saarland, Saarbrücken and received the Diploma as DIpl.-Ing.in 1981. Lindenau started his shipbuilding career in October 1981. Since 1987 he was managing partner at the Lindenau GmbH shipyard in Kiel. Lindenau shipyard was worldwide known for its outstanding reputation in the development, design and construction of innovative double Hull tankers up to 45,000 tons deadweight. More than 16 international awards for outstanding technologies prove this position.
Dirk Lindenau was or is among others honorary active in the following committees: Association of German shipbuilders, member of the technical advisory group in German Lloyd, member of the Board of Trustees of the Christian Albrecht University, and since 2014 founding member and deputy chairman of the German Association of Marine litter e.V..
On eighth of December 2011 the foreign office gave the exequatur to Mr. Lindenau of the post of the honorary consul for the Republic of Seychelles in the German state Schleswig-Holstein.
